Beijing

Over 3,000 years of history, the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, direct flights from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

About Beijing

Beijing is China's capital with over three thousand years of history, the country's political and cultural centre. It is home to the defining symbols of Chinese civilisation: the Forbidden City — the largest palace complex in the world — the Great Wall of China running along the mountain ridges north of the city, and the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of Ming-dynasty architecture.

The city impresses with its contrasts: ancient hutongs — narrow lanes lined with traditional siheyuan courtyard houses — stand alongside the ultra-modern Olympic Park and the CBD business district. Peking duck, imperial cuisine, and the night markets of Wangfujing make every meal a culinary event.

AMIST operates group and individual tours to Beijing departing from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Visa-free entry for up to 10 days, Russian-speaking guides, vetted hotels, and curated routes through the imperial capital.

What our travellers say

★★★★★

The Great Wall of China is something you need to see at least once. AMIST arranged a visit to the Mutianyu section, where the crowds were thinner. Our guide shared details you won't find in any guidebook. The Peking duck was exceptional.

★★★★★

We travelled as a family with two children. The itinerary was so engaging that the kids themselves wanted to stay longer in the Forbidden City. The hutongs won everyone over — rickshaws, street food, jiaozi dumplings. The organisation was excellent throughout.

★★★★★

The Temple of Heaven at dawn has a quality that is genuinely hard to describe. An evening stroll around Houhai Lake with the illuminated pagodas reflected in the water is one of the trip's lasting memories. Our manager Elena helped select a hotel near the metro — very convenient.

★★★★★

A corporate tour for 12 people — every detail was thought through. The business segment included a visit to a technology park, followed by the Forbidden City, a tea ceremony, and Peking duck at Quanjude. Colleagues are still talking about it.

★★★★★

Our second trip to Beijing with AMIST. This time — the Ming Tombs and the Summer Palace. The scale and beauty of the gardens are striking. All entrance tickets and lunches were included; there was nothing to worry about. Highly recommended.
