Hainan Tropical Paradise — 8-day beach escape

Hainan sits at the southern tip of China, where the South China Sea keeps the water at 25 °C even in December. For residents of Sakhalin and the Russian Far East it is the nearest tropical escape — under four hours by air — and AMIST has been running the route since demand for warm-winter holidays began growing in earnest. Eight days is exactly right: enough time to slow down, explore, and return genuinely rested.

Day-by-day

Day 1 — Arrival in Sanya. Flight from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk with connection, hotel transfer, and check-in. Sanya Phoenix International Airport to the resort zone takes under forty minutes. Welcome briefing and free evening on the beachfront promenade.

Day 2 — Dadonghai and Luhuitou Park. Morning at Dadonghai Bay, Sanya's most accessible urban beach — calm, shallow, and lined with palms. Afternoon ascent to Luhuitou Park on the southern headland: the famous stone deer sculpture, panoramic views of Sanya Bay, and the South China Sea horizon.

Day 3 — Yalong Bay. Hainan's most celebrated bay, fringed by a protected national marine park. Long crescent of white sand, offshore snorkelling over coral gardens, and the Forest of Love Park at the bay's western end. Full day at leisure with optional glass-bottom boat excursion.

Day 4 — Tianya Haijiao scenic area. The "edge of the sky, rim of the sea" — an evocative stretch of granite boulders and turquoise water that poets have called the end of the world since the Tang dynasty. The site holds deep cultural resonance for Chinese visitors and makes for genuinely striking photography. Seafood lunch at a local harbour restaurant.

Day 5 — Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone. Half-day at the Nanshan Buddhist park on Hainan's southwestern coast: the 108-metre Guanyin of the South Sea statue standing offshore on an artificial island, the vegetarian restaurant famous island-wide, and the longevity culture museum. Afternoon free.

Day 6 — West Line: Baoting Rainforest and hot springs. Inland day to the Li and Miao ethnic minority villages in Baoting County, into the tropical rainforest reserve, and an afternoon at the natural hot-spring spa — an atmospheric antidote to the sea-salt days.

Day 7 — Free day, Sanya Bay. Full day at leisure. Optional activities: sailing, jet-ski, deep-sea fishing, Haitang Bay duty-free shopping mall, Atlantis Sanya waterpark, or simply the beach. AMIST provides a curated list of vetted providers.

Day 8 — Departure. Late breakfast, hotel checkout, airport transfer. Flight back to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

What's included

Return airfare from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (economy class, included in package). Seven nights at a 4-star beach resort in the Sanya resort zone, breakfast and dinner daily. All ground transfers in modern air-conditioned vehicles. Guided visits on days 2–6 (Luhuitou, Yalong Bay, Tianya Haijiao, Nanshan, Baoting) with Russian-speaking guide. Entrance fees for all listed sites. Russian travel insurance. AMIST representative support throughout.

Practical notes

• Duration: 8 days / 7 nights.
• Departures: November through April (peak winter and spring season). Fixed group departures approximately every 3–4 weeks.

• Visa: Russian citizens travelling to Hainan as part of an AMIST organised group tour benefit from the 30-day visa-free entry policy. AMIST manages all necessary documentation.
• Climate: Sanya in winter/spring is 24–30 °C, sea temperature 24–26 °C. Rain is rare November–April.
• Group size: 8 to 20 guests. Private departures for smaller groups available on request.

Hainan was the first China destination AMIST introduced after expanding beyond Sakhalin. The logic was simple: our clients spend nine months of the year in cold weather and want the best accessible tropical option for their winter holiday.
