Koh Samui Island — 10-day beach escape

Koh Samui is Thailand without the rush — ten days of palms, warm water, and a Gulf-coast pace that Phuket rarely matches. Samui's dry season runs November through February, clear skies and calm seas precisely when Sakhalin is coldest. AMIST has operated Thailand charters since 2002; this tour is the quieter, more personal side of that experience.

Day-by-day

Days 1–2 — Departure and Samui arrival. Evening charter via Bangkok, connecting to Samui Airport (USM). Resort check-in, first swim, welcome dinner on the beach terrace.

Day 3 — Ang Thong Marine Park. 42 uninhabited limestone islands: coral snorkelling, kayak into the hidden Emerald Lake (Thale Nai) on Ko Mae Ko, 360° viewpoint. Lunch on board.

Day 4 — Koh Tao diving or snorkelling. Speedboat to Thailand's premier dive island. Certified divers: two-tank program. First-timers: discover-scuba. Non-divers: reef snorkel. Lunch ashore, back by evening.

Day 5 — Samui island circuit. Half-day: Big Buddha temple (Wat Phra Yai), Namuang Waterfall, Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, coconut plantation. Afternoon free.

Day 6 — Free beach day. Chaweng, Lamai, Bophut's Fisherman's Village, or quiet Mae Nam bays. Optional cooking class, spa, or paddleboard via AMIST concierge.

Day 7 — Sunset catamaran and evening market. West-coast catamaran: drinks, snacks, best light of the day. Back for Bophut's Fisherman's Village night market.

Day 8 — Second free day. Ang Thong by kayak again, a Ring Road motorbike loop, or a Koh Phangan north-beach day trip.

Days 9–10 — Last morning, night charter north, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk landing.

• Climate: 27–31 °C, calm seas. East and north-coast beaches are optimal Nov–Feb; the west coast can cloud over in the afternoons.
• Diving: no experience needed for discover-scuba. Bring your certification card if qualified.
• What to bring: light clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, hat, rash guard, waterproof bag, plug adapter (A/B/C types all work).

We added Samui after Bangkok+Phuket guests kept asking for something slower. Samui suits the traveller who wants the same beach every morning — to find a restaurant and return twice, to feel Tuesday differ from Saturday in a fishing village. At ₽145 000 this is our premium beach product; the price reflects the resort category and unhurried structure, not extras. AMIST charters since 2002 mean pre-contracted rooms, pre-booked boats, and an escort who knows which Ang Thong kayak route finds the best cave.
