Arrival in Beijing

Meet and greet at Beijing Airport. Transfer to the hotel by comfortable coach. Check-in and rest after the flight. Evening stroll along Wangfujing — one of Beijing's principal shopping streets, with its lively night food market.

Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

Full sightseeing day

The day begins at Tiananmen Square — the largest city square in the world. Guided tour of the Forbidden City (Gugong) — 980 buildings, 8,700 rooms, the former residence of 24 emperors. After lunch, Beihai Park with its White Pagoda, followed by a rickshaw ride through the historic hutongs.

Great Wall of China

Full sightseeing day

Drive to the Badaling section (70 km from Beijing) — the best-preserved and most scenic stretch of the Great Wall. Ascent to the wall, free time for photography. On the return journey, a stop at the Olympic Park: the "Bird's Nest" stadium and the "Water Cube" aquatics centre. In the evening, dinner featuring Peking duck at one of the city's premier restaurants.

Temple of Heaven & Shopping

Guided tour + free time

Morning visit to the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan), a masterpiece of 15th-century architecture and one of Beijing's defining landmarks. Watch morning tai chi practice in the surrounding park. After lunch, shopping at Yashow Market and Silk Market. Free time for independent exploration.

Departure Home

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Transfer to Beijing Airport. Departure to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
