The jewel of the South China Sea — endless beaches, islands with coral reefs, and the finest spa resorts in Vietnam

What we can arrange for you

About the Nha Trang resort

Nha Trang is the jewel of Vietnam's coastline — the administrative centre of Khanh Hoa Province, set on the shore of the South China Sea. The city is famed for its seven-kilometre sandy promenade and a picturesque bay recognised as one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world. The weather is warm year-round, the water is crystal clear, and the resort infrastructure rivals the leading destinations of Asia. Nha Trang is equally popular among families with children, young travellers, and those seeking a relaxed beach holiday.

The historical and cultural character of the city is shaped by several iconic landmarks. The Po Nagar Towers — a complex of 8th-century Cham temples built in honour of the Mother Goddess — remain a working place of worship to this day. The Long Son Pagoda is crowned by a majestic white Buddha statue 24 metres tall, from whose pedestal a panorama of the entire city opens up. Hon Mun Island forms part of a marine reserve with the richest coral reefs in the country, while the Vinpearl Land theme park offers rides and a water park for the whole family.

AMIST tour operator arranges charter flights to the resort and provides full support throughout the trip — from document processing to transfers and accommodation. Russian citizens enjoy visa-free entry to Vietnam for up to 45 days, which makes the holiday particularly convenient. The thermal mud spas — Thap Ba and I-Resort — are an absolute must-visit, renowned for their wellness programmes. The AMIST team will select your hotel, excursions, and transfers so that every client enjoys a holiday with no fuss.

Interesting Facts About Nha Trang

15 fascinating facts about the jewel of the Vietnamese coast

01

A bay from the list of the most beautiful

Nha Trang Bay belongs to the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" club, which brings together 29 select locations across the planet. Its semicircular shape, around 10 km in diameter, creates natural protection from waves and wind. It is precisely this combination of beauty and calm waters that makes it one of the finest destinations in Southeast Asia.

02

Po Nagar Towers: living 8th-century temples

This complex of four Cham towers has stood on a granite hill for more than 1,300 years and remains a working place of worship. The main tower, 23 metres tall, is built of fired brick without any binding mortar — the secret of this masonry has yet to be fully unravelled.

03

Hon Mun: an underwater kingdom

The Hon Mun Marine Reserve covers 160 sq km. More than 350 species of coral and over 200 species of fish have been recorded here — making it the richest coral reef in all of Vietnam. Water visibility reaches 15–20 metres.

04

Vinpearl: an island of entertainment

Vinpearl Land theme park is connected to the mainland by a 3.3-km cable car — one of the longest over-sea cableways in the world. The park welcomes over a million visitors a year. On the island, a water park, an oceanarium, and concert venues operate across 200 hectares.

05

Thap Ba mud baths

The volcanic mineral mud contains silicon, sodium, and magnesium — elements with anti-inflammatory properties. The water temperature is 38–40 °C, and a session lasts 20–30 minutes. The complex receives thousands of visitors daily.

06

The white Long Son Buddha

The Long Son Pagoda is crowned by a snow-white Buddha statue 24 metres tall, erected in 1963. The climb to reach it numbers 150 steps, and from the platform one of the finest views over the city opens up. At its base are depicted six monks in protest against persecution.

07

Alexandre Yersin discovered Nha Trang

The French scientist Alexandre Yersin first visited Nha Trang in 1891 and established a Pasteur Institute laboratory here. It was he who discovered the causative agent of bubonic plague (Yersinia pestis). The local people honour him as "Grandfather Five" — and a Yersin Museum operates in the city.

08

The bird's-nest capital

Khanh Hoa Province produces around 70% of all bird's nests in Vietnam. Swiftlets build them on the cliffs of the islands. A kilogram of nests costs 1,500–3,000 US dollars, and the soup made from them is considered a delicacy. Collecting them is dangerous manual labour at heights of up to 30 metres.

09

Dam Market: a lotus in concrete

The central Dam Market, built in 1972, is famed for its lotus-flower-shaped dome — an architectural symbol of Nha Trang. The circular building houses hundreds of trading stalls. Especially lively is the fish pavilion: at dawn, the catch is brought here straight from the boats.

10

Seven kilometres of city beach

Nha Trang Beach stretches for 7 km right within the city limits — a rare occurrence even by Southeast Asian standards. White quartz sand, a palm-lined promenade, and a warm sea of +26–29 °C year-round. Along the shoreline are public zones with exercise equipment and volleyball courts.

11

The heritage of the Cham civilisation

The Cham people created the kingdom of Champa, which existed from the 2nd to the 17th century. The Cham were seafarers and traders linked to India and China. The Po Nagar Towers are the best-preserved monument of this civilisation on the Vietnamese coast.

12

Vietnamese coffee — ice and patience

"Cà phê sữa đá" — coffee with condensed milk and ice — has been raised to the level of a cult in Nha Trang. It is brewed through a "phin" filter for 5–7 minutes: rushing is not the done thing. Cafés open from 6 a.m. and become the setting for a morning ritual. Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee exporter.

13

The Hon Chong rocks and the giant's legend

Hon Chong is a heap of granite boulders on the seashore. According to legend, the handprint of a giant spirit can still be seen on one of the stones. Geologically, the formations were shaped by centuries of erosion. At sunset, the stones take on golden tones.

14

Oceanographic Institute since 1923

Founded by French scientists, the institute is one of the oldest marine research centres in Southeast Asia. Its collection holds more than 20,000 specimens of marine fauna. An aquarium operates at the institute, displaying sharks and turtles from the South China Sea.

15

Night market: seafood off the flame

The night market on the promenade stays open until midnight. Spiny lobsters, cuttlefish, and crabs are cooked over open flames — at prices many times lower than in the restaurants. Especially popular are the grilled scallops with peanuts and spring onions. The atmosphere of smoke and sizzling grills is the signature image of Nha Trang at night.

What our travellers say

★★★★★

My husband and I spent two weeks in Nha Trang — it was exactly what we'd been dreaming of. The beach is magnificent: clean, with fine white sand and a warm sea. In the evenings we headed to the promenade for seafood — we ate it every day and never got tired of it. Thank you AMIST for the wonderful organisation — everything was clear and without surprises.

Svetlana and Andrey P. "Classic Nha Trang", February 2026
★★★★★

We flew with two children, aged 8 and 11 — the best family holiday we've had in years. Vinpearl Land was the hit of the trip: the kids refused to leave the water park. The mud baths were a hit with everyone too — both fun and good for you at the same time. The AMIST manager chose our hotel perfectly: right by the beach and close to all the amenities.

The Kotov family "Family Nha Trang", January 2026
★★★★★

I went alone to recover my strength — and that's exactly what I got, 100%. After the Thap Ba mud baths, my skin felt like a baby's, and the fatigue lifted completely. Several courses of Vietnamese massage — professional and very affordable. I'll definitely return next winter.

Irina S. "Wellness Nha Trang", December 2025
★★★★★

As an experienced diver, I have to say Hon Mun pleasantly surprised me. The visibility is excellent, the coral reefs are diverse and alive, and we encountered a turtle and exotic fish. The instructor spoke Russian and the equipment was new. AMIST had agreed all the dive sites in advance — top-tier organisation.

Dmitry O. "Diving Nha Trang", November 2025
★★★★★

Nha Trang with AMIST — my second trip already, and once again everything was flawless. The first time I went with a friend, now I brought my mum — and she loved it too. The managers remember our preferences — I don't have to explain the same thing twice. I'm already thinking about a third trip — I want to try a tour combined with Dalat.
