What we can arrange for you

About Phu Quoc Island

Phu Quoc is Vietnam's largest island, situated in the Gulf of Thailand 45 km from the Cambodian coast. The island covers 574 sq km — comparable in size to Singapore. The dazzling white-sand Bai Sao Beach regularly features in global rankings of the world's finest beaches, and the national park of tropical forest covers more than 70% of the territory and has been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In 2021, Phu Quoc was granted city status and is rapidly developing into a world-class resort destination.

The island is renowned for producing Vietnam's finest fish sauce (nước mắm) — barrels aged for up to 15 months can be seen on factory tours. The pearl farms produce top-grade saltwater pearls. Sunset Town is a district of Italian-style architecture with a promenade that offers some of the finest sunsets in Southeast Asia. The 7,899-metre cable car — the longest over-sea cableway in the world — links the island to Hon Thom.

AMIST tour operator provides full support throughout your trip — charter flights, transfers, accommodation in the finest hotels and beachfront villas. Russian citizens enjoy visa-free entry for up to 45 days. On the island, the VinWonders theme park and Vinpearl Safari operate — the latter being Vietnam's only open-range zoo. The AMIST team will tailor a programme for a beach holiday, diving, a romantic getaway, or a family break.

What our travellers say

★★★★★

Bai Sao is paradise on earth — we'd never seen sand so white or water so clean anywhere else. And the sunsets at Long Beach every evening are like a free show. AMIST chose us a hotel right on the shore, with a terrace overlooking the sea. The perfect holiday!

★★★★★

The children simply didn't want to leave — VinWonders with its water park overshadowed even the beach. And on safari, our youngest saw a giraffe up close and is still talking about it. The AMIST manager picked us a family room with a kitchen — extremely convenient with children.

★★★★★

We flew out for our wedding anniversary — and it was the best gift we could have given each other. A villa with a pool, candlelit dinner on the beach, kayaking at sunset — everything like a film. Thank you AMIST for organising every detail; we simply enjoyed ourselves.

Anna R. "Romantic Phu Quoc", December 2025
★★★★★

As a seasoned diver, I have to say: the An Thoi reefs are among the finest in Southeast Asia. We saw a turtle, a moray eel, and a school of barracuda. The water is crystal clear, with visibility up to 15 metres. AMIST had arranged things with the island's best dive centre — the equipment is new and the guide highly experienced.

★★★★★

Our third trip with AMIST — and every time everything is at the highest level. We've been to Nha Trang, Da Nang, and now Phu Quoc. The managers remember our preferences and every time suggest something new. Phu Quoc has become our favourite — we're already planning a fourth trip!
